Welcome to the Atlanta Jewelry Maker's meetup! My name is Brian Gibney and I am the founder of Amalgam Arts, a jewelry studio in Atlanta, close to Decatur. Our meetups will be held at the Amalgam studio at 3172 E. Ponce de Leon Ave, 30079.

Our April Meetup will feature a Make-a-Ring Art Parties, the first and most popular of our expanding series of casual, entertaining, and enriching classes. During this class you will be able to create, from start to finish, a ring using sterling silver wire and sheet, a blowtorch, and your own two hands! Designs can vary from a simple, highly polished band to a ring that is textured or stamped to show off your unique style. A $35 fee covers materials, instruction, and light snacks. Stones may be added from our in-house selection (onyx, malachite, turquoise, amber, moonstone, hematite, and lapis, to name a few) for an additional $5. The atmospheres at AMALGAM is a comfortable, casual, and productive environment. In addition you can view our jewelery for sale and learn about our other classes, not to mention meet other aspiring and professional jewelers to see what all of your neighbors are up to! Feel free to bring friends and family...it's the perfect opportunity to make a piece of jewelry to give to a loved one...or keep for yourself!
