The Ypsilanti Jewelry Making June Meeting
Feel free to bring some things you've created and a project to work on (but feel free to just come to look, too.)
We have a nice mixture of jewelry artists (thanks, Susan - we will all call ourselves artists now!) ranging from newcomers up to people who teach jewelry making for a living. Read more

-
"Hello, Being a new person to beading and self taught. Looking to find others to share tips, ideas and maybe even new friends."
-
"my name is linda and I would like to learn jewlery making"
-
"Toni- We had a sheet at the meeting for people to put contact info (name, city, email address, and phone #). I said I would put it on computer and email a copy to all who signed. You didn't sign. Would you like to have your information included? If yes, please email it to me at nkcornett@gmail.com and I'll add you before distributing. Wasn't last night fun? I'm looking forward to our next meet up. I Googled wedding cake beads - lovely! -Nancy"
-
"I've made a few things, bracelets, necklaces, rings, etc. But I'm always interested in learning new things, meeting new people and having fun! "
-
"Hi, Nancy: If my friend Pat could attend without signing up, that would be great. I will mention it to her when I talk to her, but it might not be soon enough before the meet-together to let her know about signing up. Is there anything in particular we will work on, or is it different people with different projects, and we can just bring something we are interested in working on? Cheryl"
-
"Cheryl- I got your email about adding a friend. I explored the Organizer pages and don't think I have the ability to add people to an RSVP. It seems to be set up so the site tracks how many join the group AND RSVP - that is they need to do both to end up in the RSVP total. So I think your friend needs to sign up herself - although I don't think it's a big deal at this point. I look forward to seeing you both next week. -Nancy "

"Hello, I look forward to meeting everyone on April 9. I am not an expert, but I have made jewelry that I enjoy wearing, and I enjoy "company while I craft. I love the people at Stoney Creek Beads, they are great. Cheers, Cheryl"
-
"As a recent transplant to Michigan, I've been hoping to find a group of like-minded women for learning, friendship and fun!"
-
"I'm looking forward to meeting everyone, and seeing all the different beading projects everyone has made....I love beading..."
-
"Pauline- There doesn't seem to be a fee for starting a Meetup, but there is a monthly fee to be an organizer and you need to be an organizer to start a Meetup. I'm quite new so I could have gotten this twisted, but I think you can start multiple Meetups with a single monthly organizer fee. -Nancy"

"I do LOVE the map feature, and I use similar maps whenever I'm going to travel to a new destination. Even though we tell customers how to get to us, many are surprised at how easy it is to get to the shop. One mile south of a major freeway, in a shopping center with LOTS of free, well-lit parking; five great places to eat in the plaza, too! Aubree's Tavern, Great Wall Chinese, LaFuente (Mexican), Stony Creek Koney,Subway and Hershey's Ice Cream (they have great burgers, too!)"
-
"I'm sure there will be. thanks for checking. By the way, does it cost anything to run or start a group?"
-
"Pauline- I just Google-mapped Ferndale to discover it is about 50 minutes from Ypsilanti. Yes, that is a tough distance. I hope something changes in the future and you can join us. -Nancy"
-
"Susan- They provide a great feature that gives directions and a map to Meetup sites. Check the YJMM (Ypsi Jewelry Making Meetup) page and you'll set a section that says: Where? Stony Creek Bead 2060 Whittaker Rd Ypsilanti, MI 48197 (734) 544-0904 Info/Map ******* When you click on Info/Map, up it pops. You can also click to get directions from your starting point. Very nice, eh? Nancy"
-
"OOOPS!!! Make that I-94 (not 84!)"
-
"Hi Nancy- It's good to see our group filling up! If you have a more appropriate place to post this info on our site, please do so. Stony Creek Bead is located one mile South of I-84 at Exit 183 (Huron Street) in Paint Creek Crossing shopping plaza. For more info on the shop, go to: www.StonyCreekBead.blogspot.com See you all soon!"
-
"I love designing jewelry and love to meet people who enjoy designing also."
